Terms of sale

Who you are buying from

Cronus Scripts is an independent software store operated by Samuel Ssekizinvu. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the Merchant of Record for every order. Paddle handles the payment, issues your receipt, and collects any VAT or sales tax due in your country. Your card statement will show a Paddle-related descriptor rather than a personal name.

What you are buying

You are buying a licence to use a single GPC script file (.gpc) written for the Cronus Zen controller adapter, together with a written setup guide. You are not buying hardware. You are not buying the Cronus Zen device, Zen Studio, or any software published by Cronus or Collective Minds.

Your licence

On payment you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the script on Cronus Zen devices that you own. You may not resell, redistribute, publish, sublicense, or share the file, and you may not publish its source in whole or in part. Reverse engineering the script to produce a competing product is not permitted. The licence lasts indefinitely unless you breach these terms.

Hardware and compatibility

The script requires a Cronus Zen. It will not run on any other device. Compatibility with a given game depends on that game's current build; publishers patch their titles frequently, and a game update can change recoil behaviour or movement timing in a way that requires the script to be retuned. We describe the games the script was tuned around, not a guarantee that every mod behaves identically in every title forever.

Fair use and third-party rules

This script modifies controller input. Many game publishers, tournament organisers and online services restrict or prohibit input-modifying devices and software in their terms of service or competition rules. Using this script may breach the terms of the games you play, and doing so can result in penalties including suspension or a permanent ban on your game account. You are responsible for checking the rules that apply to you before you buy and before you play. We make no claim that the script is undetectable, and we accept no liability for action taken against your game accounts, hardware, or standing in any competition.

Support and updates

The standard licence includes 30 days of updates from the date of purchase. The Pro licence includes updates for as long as the product is maintained. Support is provided by email and on our Discord server on a best-effort basis. Custom builds are quoted individually and their scope is agreed in writing before work starts.

Liability

The script is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version published here at the time of your purchase is the version that applies to that purchase.

Refund policy

14-day refund window. If the script does not work for you, email billing@cronusscripts.store within 14 days of purchase with your order number and a short description of the problem, and we will refund you in full. You do not need to justify the request beyond telling us it did not work out.

What we ask first. Most problems are setup issues we can fix in a few messages, so we will usually offer help before processing the refund. You are free to decline and take the refund.

Where refunds are not available. We cannot refund a purchase where there is evidence the file has been redistributed or resold, and we cannot refund custom builds once the tuning work has been delivered. A ban or penalty applied to your game account by a publisher is not grounds for a refund — see the fair use section above.

How the money reaches you. Refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method. Paddle typically completes them within 3–5 business days, though your bank may take longer to show the credit. You can also request a refund directly through the Paddle receipt emailed to you at purchase.

Statutory rights. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a digital purchase within 14 days. By downloading the file immediately you may be asked to waive that right at checkout; our own 14-day policy above applies either way, so you are no worse off.

Privacy policy

What we collect

If you buy from us, we receive your email address and the country you bought from, so we can deliver the file and provide support. We do not see or store your card number — payment details go directly to Paddle and are never available to us.

If you email us or join our Discord, we hold that correspondence so we can help you.

What this website collects

This site sets no analytics cookies and runs no advertising or tracking pixels. Two third parties receive a request when your browser loads the page: Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces, and Steam's content CDN plus Wikimedia, which serve the game cover images on the compatibility section. Those requests expose your IP address to those providers in the ordinary way any embedded asset does. When you open the checkout, Paddle loads its own scripts and may set cookies necessary to process your payment.

Who we share it with

Paddle, as Merchant of Record, processes your order and handles tax compliance; their privacy notice governs what they hold. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Order records are retained for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Support correspondence is kept while it is useful and deleted on request.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@cronusscripts.store and we will respond within 30 days. For anything relating to payment records, Paddle may need to be contacted directly as the merchant of record.
